The inaugural Active Seniors' Festival was a great success, with hundreds of Seniors and interested members of the community gathering at the Perth Cultural Centre in Northbridge on Saturday November 15.
This celebration of Active lifestyles was launched by Hon. Tony Simpson MP, Minister for Seniors, and featured Ron Alexander, Director-General of the Department of Sport and Recreation as keynote speaker.
Showcased in the Festival were the achievements of the providers, instructors and participants of Living Longer Living StrongerTM programme. This year's winners were recognised with Excellence Awards rewarding their achievements, and a public demonstration of the programme called on members of the audience to become involved.

Best Metropolitan Participant : Mal Dennett (Riverton Leisureplex)
